Cents per point = (cash price − award taxes and fees) ÷ points × 100. Fees are netted out because you pay them either way. Baselines are editorial estimates in two lanes — typical (median achievable, the Frequent Miler / NerdWallet methodology) and maximum (optimized transfers, the TPG / Upgraded Points methodology) — and the verdict here judges against typical with a ±10% toss-up band.
